Centre for Health Record Linkage

Who we are

The Centre for Health Record Linkage (CHeReL) is part of NSW Health and is NSW and ACT’s dedicated data linkage provider. The Centre for Health Record Linkage links data for health service providers, and also for other government services providers such as education, families and communities and justice at both state and Commonwealth level.

By securely linking information across many sources of government data and different service sectors such as the state and Commonwealth services, and hospitalcommunity and primary care services, we help use data to support delivery of better services, better experiences of care and better outcomes for the Australian community

What we do

The CHeReL provides secure, high-quality data linkage to support not only the health system, but also a wide range of NSW and Commonwealth Government agencies. By connecting data across sectors including health, human services, educationtransport and justice we enable a more complete understanding of population service needs and outcomes.
